Asus Work Experience

This blog will be documenting the daily processes and various experiences working at the Asus Notebook service centre in Brisbane. The project will involve learning and reflecting on the business processes that take place, as well as extending and refining the current database to further enhance the productivity of the technical/sales staff at Asus.

Throughout the first two weeks, a Naturalistic observational study will take place to understand context of user activities. Throughout this time, a Universe of Discourse will be created, and an Entity-Relationship diagram will be mapped from the collected data. This provides the database model of which will be enggineared with William Li at a later date.

This project is estimated to take around 4-5 weeks, and will take on the Extreme Programming development model. It will involve areas in Interaction Design, Interface Design, Database design and implementation. Throughout this project, the developers will experience and understand the conext by taking of receiption, warehousing, document management roles. Daily reports of the project will be detailed in this blog as the project advances.
